
February 16, 2007 - Haverhill, MA - Dawn Walker, assistant lab manager and chemistry section supervisor, has been named the Merrimack Valley Hospital's 2006 Employee of the Year. Dawn is known for her easy going manner and great sense of humor. She always has a smile on her face even when the stress level is high and the pressure is on.
Staff members who are awarded the Employee of the Year honor excel in eight areas: performance, reliability, personality, appearance, consideration, initiative, communication and acting as a hospital ambassador during work hours. Dawn works tirelessly to get the job done and done well. She often arrives to work at 3a.m. to get an early start on the day. She is always willing to work any shift and to help out whenever needed.
"Dawn puts in about 50-60 hours a week. She is a dedicated worker and she always puts quality first," said Stephen Geary, Interim Laboratory Director. "I rely on Dawn tremendously, and I know her co-workers do too. She truly goes above and beyond the call of duty, and I am so happy she is being recognized for her accomplishments."
Dawn lives in Hampton, New Hampshire where she always finds time for family and friends. She enjoys traveling with her sisters and camping with nieces and nephews.
